The Spooky Bathroom

My kids don't want to use the bathroom on the first floor of our house. They have even told me there are 'monsters' in it.

I am pretty open-minded, and my girls are honest. They don't make things up. This has been going on the last few years, since we moved in here.

I am wondering if the 'stories' children often tell about seeing things like monsters could have some basis in fact. If so, what could they be 'seeing'?
