Sick Houses Really Exist
...But Why?
In Europe, it has long been known that there are sick houses.
Now, you might be thinking that your house is sick when it isn’t (or
vice versa). There might be other things wrong with it. So, before we
look at why some places are given this somber nickname, let’s look at
what else it could be.
Other possibilities...
Remember, that we’re really talking about how the Europeans (who have
been doing much more research into this than the States) use the term.
So, one of the ways in which you might be seeing illness (but not really
serious stuff), would be if you were showing the symptoms of sick building
syndrome.
This is where the causes of the illness are to be found in physically
measurable ways, associated with the construction or decoration and
fittings of the building.
The other way you might think of your house as a sick house would be
if you had ghosts. Real
ghosts! Not just imagining things, but they were really there and
causing confusion and making life difficult for you. You might feel
as if your house was not right (and you’d be right about that!), but
haunted houses are not the same as sick houses.
What’s the proof?
That is relatively easy to provide.
In Europe, particularly in Germany and Austria, there has been much
research carried out on the effects of earth energies on people.
One of the most massive efforts was undertaken by Kathe Bachler who
researched the link between geopathic stress zones (as they are called
in Europe) and disease. (In fact, Bachler called homes above such zones
‘cancer houses’ because of the abnormally high incidence of disease
over several generations of families there. In all, she documented 11,200
case histories in 3,000 homes in 14 countries, finding a definite link
between areas of land and disease.
Such has been her influence (and of other
researchers into what causes cancer) that in Germany, house builders
give buyers a certificate confirming it to be free of geopathic stress
zones, whilst in Austria, planning permission will not be given until
the plot is shown to be fee of such zones.
In fact, an alternative name for geopathic zones might be cancer zones,
given the results of the years of research in Europe.
OK. So, what’s to be done?
As you can’t easily move an entire house if it happens to be over a
noxious zone of negative energy, then you take into account the important
areas of the house. These would be primarily the bed, the sofa and any
armchairs or other places where you spend significant time. The
idea of furniture placement was, then, very important.
But there’s more to healing sick houses than just moving furniture
around.
It was thought that such places were always going to be unhealthy.
Then, as new ways of thinking developed, so that attitude changed and
allowed for new approaches to arise. After all, if everything is energy,
then it makes sense that such things can be altered to become beneficial.
How that is done depends very much on each individual property as well
as the people there.
However, the important thing to note is that although such noxious
places have long been known to exist, there is no reason anymore why
they should remain that way, unless it is through ignorance.
