While basements can stir up negative emotions in people because they represent the subconscious, that isn't what's going on here.

More than likely, you have some kind of entity(ies) in your basement area. If you clear them, you will feel much safer. You will also stop seeing things out of the corner of your eye.

Another phenomenon that can cause these symptoms is a portal of some type to another space/time/universe. It's like having a subway station on your property. If you have one of these, it may seem more chaotic, crowded and unpleasant than if you just have one entity.

Either way, don't ignore those scary feelings. Your intuition is trying to tell you something. Listen to it.

A simple solution, though it is not always 100% effective, is to use sage, incense or some type of prayer to move the entity or beings on to their right and perfect place.
