Animals really do have a way of sensing the world in ways we can't. So, I'm not surprised that Abby stared at a place where you felt something.
Equally, I'm not surprised that Abby was able to tell when one of your guinea pigs died.
It's quite possible that Oscar and Abby (and many others) are able to smell something about a person or animal about to die. A smell which is far too faint for us to notice.
The really great thing is that you and Abby get on so well and that you are able to see just how special Abby is. So many people just dismiss what their pets do as if it means nothing. Congratulations to you for recognizing that Abby was able to do these special things.
I hope that your story will encourage more visitors to share what they have noticed with their animal companions.
