Seeing things

Hi Sari! The short answer is, 'Yes'. I don't think there's much doubt, from what you say. But as for the 'Ding', I doubt that is a ghost.
The reason for saying that is that most children we've ever come across are comfortable with ghosts. They see them, they sometimes interact with them but they don't usually feel unsafe with them.
However, with other things in the environment, they are not happy with them at all and are usually fearful.
Your son is, apparently, seeing both types and reacting differently to each.
So, yes, it is normal for young children to see such things. But it is not good for the scary things to hang around.
Although you can, apparently, make the 'Ding' disappear for a while, you can't get it to go.
I think you need professional help on this to get rid of it permanently.
