Healthy Homes...
Luck Isn’t In It!
Healthy homes are the result of effort. It’s not just luck! There are
so many ways in which homes can become unhealthy.
In fact, there are probably more unhealthy homes than healthy ones.
The World Health Organization, for example, has estimated that about
8% of all buildings are, or should be, uninhabitable due to various
factors.
Think about that! That’s 8% which should not be lived in. 'Sick
houses' are those places where serious illness and death are common,
and not all of those are what the WHO is referring to!
Now what about the rest of them which are just plain unhealthy to live
in?
How do you know your home is healthy?
There
are two pretty good methods for deciding the answer to this one...
- Do you feel happy, content, well-balanced, at ease and just plain
good in your home for just about all of the time you are in it?
- Are you (and your family, if applicable) generally healthy and emotionally
well-balanced, without resorting to medication in any form (including
alcohol or any other drug or stimulant)?
The two together give you your answer.
Now it’s a fair bet that most people think their place is OK. (Note
that they don’t think it is great. Most will actually use the term ‘OK’
if you ask them - Did you?)
Unfortunately, 'OK' isn’t the sign of a healthy home. 'OK' just means...
- You have have got used to not feeling on top of the world
- You have irritating, small illnesses
- There are too many times when you don't feel happy
- Things are 'not right but I don't know how to fix it'
You want to change your home from ‘OK’ to ‘GREAT! That’s
a healthy home!
Whether we work on-site with a client or remotely, using a plan, we
can usually feel straight away the areas that need working on.
It's because we are new to the space and we are deliberately setting
out to sense everything about the place. Plus, we've been doing it for
years so we've got better and better at it.
If you live there all the time, you are going to be less sensitive
simply because you've got used to it.
And that's a bad thing!
Why
not ask us to check your place for you?
What are the reasons for unhealthy homes?
There
are a large number of possible causes, mainly including the energies
which are there. This can be the
electromagnetic radiation in the environment.
A
more dangerous problem can be found underneath your home, in the form
of underground water.
Also, the way some homes are built contributes to an unhealthy environment.
People
living in such buildings who are unwell are labeled as showing Sick
Building Syndrome (or SBS). In this case the physical materials
are responsible for the illness.
Then, of course, there are the other, less physical reasons such as
What is the answer?
There isn’t just one answer to this, but there are solutions!!
There used to be a school of thought which said that the main solution
to negative energies (especially earth energy) was to re-arrange your
furniture. This
art of furniture placement was meant to stop you from being too
long in a place which would affect you negatively.
Although furniture placement is less popular as a solution, there are
still reasons to consider it.
Other, more specific, approaches can be described as being what
geomancy is about or can be more easily termed energy
healing as a way of creating a better environment
In the meantime, what can you do?
The
best method of helping to create a healthy environment is to actually
believe that it can be achieved! Then, start acting as if it already exists.
This sounds a little crazy, but a
healthy home has more to do with conscious living then anything else.
Living consciously is an important ingredient in any happy, successful,
productive life (just read any ‘success guru’!).
Really, genuinely happy people usually live in places which feel good.
That's no accident!
But the important point is that any situation can be improved.
