Geopathic Stress...
Are you suffering from it?

Geopathic stress is not one thing, but the result of many things. There are signs you can look for to see if you could be suffering from it.

What is it?

It is a name given to the belief that negative energies in the earth give rise to ill health and discomfort of various sorts to those people living on or above them. Underground water streams are also considered to be a part of the problem as they produce a measurable electrical field.

As such, it is difficult to classify it much beyond saying that environmental energy can make people ill. The illness can be in the mind, body or spirit of those involved. It is also generally considered to act upon the human energetic system in such a way as to slowly overload it, much like a dripping tap will, eventually, cause a bucket to overflow.

So it is with humans. They can put up with low levels of interference for years before finally exhibiting obvious symptoms. Others, however, may show signs much more quickly. It depends on each individual. Wherever the greatest weakness is, that is where the symptoms show up first.

What are some of the symptoms?

Here, it is important to be aware of your own body, your surroundings and how you react if you are going to assess your own degree of effect. As we said, geopathic stress acts differently upon different people, so no one list is going to be definitive for everyone.

That said, however, there are some symptoms which are more common than others.

• Restless sleep at home but good sleep away from home
• Continuous low level illnesses (such as colds, earaches, stomach bugs etc.)
• Illnesses which do not respond to medication
• A history of serious disease (especially cancer) or death in the home over the lifetime of the building, including animals
• Tensions or arguments in the family which go beyond the ‘normal’ familial stress
• Panic attacks at night
• An unwillingness to go into certain areas of the home
• Young children ‘seeing’ people who aren’t there or reporting conversations they have had with them
• Areas which are inexplicably cold or damp or have strange smells
• An increase in illness since moving into a new home

It should be noted that some people believe that cancer, asthma, multiple sclerosis, rheumatism, tuberculosis and meningitis are closely associated with geopathic stress.

Whilst some of the list items may be more familiarly connected with ghosts, hauntings or the paranormal, they nevertheless act as good indicators that something is not right in the environment and that geopathic stress may be at work on you.

What can be done?

Actually, quite a lot can be done.

The most important act is that of clearing the home space of the environmental energy which is distressing you. This will give relief pretty much immediately in most cases.

This is done using a variety of techniques, including dowsing (or divining) to identify the problem areas. This is followed by the use of various objects, or pieces of equipment to neutralize the various energies which have been identified.

In order to complete the process, however, it is important that the whole area is harmonized. In other words, just clearing energies is fine up to a point, but replace the negative with positive energies to make the place feel really good!

Don’t get confused!

Sometimes it is easy to get confused between these symptoms and symptoms of sick building syndrome (sbs). The causes are entirely different and the treatments also differ greatly. It is possible that sbs and geopathic stress occur in the same place. It would be wise to have us check your environment for you.
