Of all the energies which we can talk about, the most obvious one to be found in your home is that of the human energy field; that is, essentially, you!

Our own atmosphere

We all carry with us our own ‘atmosphere’.

Think of people you have met who make you feel good just being with them. Being close to them is a good experience. Likewise, we all know when people are depressed or sad because we can feel that in them. That’s something which is obvious.

However, there are other influences which can be carried around inside our private 'atmosphere' (our subtle body, as it is called) which can affect us as well as others. And they aren’t as easy to feel. But they exist nevertheless!

Healthy homes

In the same way that we should have our personal climate as good as it can be, so a healthy home or environment needs to have the energies balanced and harmonious.

You might have heard the terms ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ used to describe a place which has a pleasant or unpleasant atmosphere. These are just general descriptive words which can mean different things to different people.

The Earth

Another influence on the environment which affects everyone is the Earth itself.

The human body is incredibly sensitive to minute changes in our environment. People have been shown to react to a change in magnetic gradient (or difference) as weak as one millimicrogauss or 0.000000001 gauss. (To put that into perspective, the Earth's magnetic field measures about 0.5 gauss and a small iron magnet has a field of about 100 gauss.)

The earth is responsible for many of the things we react and respond to. Those reactions and responses can be good or bad, make us feel good or make us ill.

Like everything else, if we can live in harmony with the earth energy and the ways in which it fluctuates and changes, then we have a better chance of feeling good and being healthy ourselves.

Now before you think this is just plain silly, let yourself think back to when you visited a place with some ‘history’ to it. Something like an old battlefield perhaps, or where a famous event took place.

Tell me you didn’t feel ‘something’ there. You might have shrugged it off in any number of ways, but the point remains that it was at THAT place you felt it. And the reason, more than likely, was due to the history of the place.
