Earth Energy Healing:
the Why and the How
Sometimes saying that we do earth energy healing
is a shorthand way of saying that we work with a variety of different
energies.
If you have read some of the other pages on this site, you will realize
that there are a variety of different energies to be found in any environment.
Therefore, to say that geomancy or space clearing is only involved in
earth energy healing is somewhat misleading.
Obviously (I hope!), you will recognize the need to keep your environment
clear of those energies which can affect you negatively.
Without looking at all the various types and ways in which that works,
let me just concentrate on this page on the concept of the energies
arising from the earth and look only at those.
Elsewhere, I have given lots of references to the idea that location
plays a significant part in the development of serious diseases, such as cancer.
From that it should be clear why earth energy healing, even if it is
just one aspect of the environmental approach, is something to take
seriously.
The early approaches to the problem of trying to achieve a healthy
environment involved what might be called a more physical attitude.
For example, checking whether the area was healthful prior to building,
or moving
furniture away from noxious areas.
This was more in line with the
origins of Feng Shui which were concerned with finding ideal locations
rather than with specifically dealing with earth energy healing.
In the latter part of the twentieth century however, a new approach
developed. Instead of trying to avoid bad areas (increasingly difficult
in the modern overcrowded world), techniques grew which involved altering
the course of the energy. If a line came through a property, then it
was diverted using such things as crystals, iron bars, wood, symbols
and so on.
From that developed the idea that such things could be done with intent
alone. No need for physical intervention or objects to be placed precisely.
Now the focused intent of the geomancer would be sufficient.
Earth energy healing is something which has, therefore, changed. The
old methods still work. But newer, simpler ones have evolved.
No matter what approach is used (and we have had occasion to use pretty
much all types of fixes in our work), the same goal is behind them all:
make the environment better, healthier, more positive for all those
animals, plants and humans inhabiting it.
Apart from energy lines in the landscape and the
energy grids discovered last century, there are other 'things' which
have to be accounted for.
For example, there are things often referred to as 'spirit tracks'
or 'spirit paths'. These are usually straight and are used as routes
for the spirits of the dead to journey to their correct place. (From
where they go to wherever they are meant to go.)
Sometimes these paths can get broken and a property can have a multiple
pile-up of spirits, all caught in one place...and that's the wrong place!
Such places feel definitely 'wrong' (which should come as no surprise
whatsoever!).
In addition, there are the problems
associated with underground water, electrical 'leakages' into the
ground, sewer systems, rock faulting and the like. All of these can
and do cause problems which come under the the broad heading of earth
energy. Healing these is just one aspect of the bigger picture which
we, as geomancers, have to consider when we work.
