Earth changes have been the subject of predictions throughout history.

They have also been the subject of speculation in more recent times. But what is being referred to when you hear someone talking about 'earth changes'?

What are the changes?

Firstly, there are the scientific predictions.

• The Pole Shift

Throughout the past, there is geological evidence that the magnetic poles of the earth have shifted dramatically; the north pole becoming the south pole and vice versa. There is some reason to believe that we are overdue for such a shift again, as they seem to be fairly regular (but many thousands of years apart!).

What such a pole shift might cause to happen is open to some conjecture. Some speak as if it would create total chaos with earthquakes, tempests and the like virtually destroying civilization as it presently exists. Others take a less bleak view but still talk of huge upheavals.

• Global Warming

This has had much press coverage in recent years. Some observers speak as if this is the precursor to a major cataclysm, whilst others take the view that that this is a natural cycle of the Earth's history and is inevitable, whilst still others say that no such thing is happening at all, it is merely scientists and governments trying to frighten us.

Whichever view you find most acceptable, there is still the idea of major earth changes coming (time unspecified).

• Schumann Resonance changing

The Schumann resonance is the name given to the frequency of radio signals effectively trapped between the surface of the earth and the ionosphere. There are reports that this frequency is changing (but, others say that is not so, just local irregularities). As the Schumann resonance has been called the 'heartbeat of the Earth', any change could mean significant disruption. The precise nature of which is, of course, hard to agree upon.

Secondly, there are the other types of predictions about earth changes.

• The Mayan Calendar

This is, by far, the most popular prediction. The Mayan culture of Central America had several very sophisticated calendars. The one which attracts the most attention is what is known as the Long Count Calendar.

It deals with a period of over 5,000 years. What makes this one so interesting is that the calendar counts down and its end point is December 21 2012. Now, no-one is absolutely certain why this is the end point, but many have taken it to mean that something dramatic will happen around that period. Indeed, some say that the present turmoil in the world (wars, natural disasters etc) are indicators of the truth of this belief.

• Earth Energy Grid Changing

Another belief is that the energy grid of the earth is slowly but surely changing. This grid comprises a variety of different networks of lines. Several experienced dowsers are reporting that the lines are fading and changing, indicating that some big change is coming along. Again, they cannot predict, only speculate.

• Planetary Changes

There is evidence to show that there are changes taking place across the solar system, with increased brightness and thickening atmospheres. The Sun's magnetic field is increasing as are the those of the planets. This, presumably, will have various types of effects on life here.

What it means for you

Whatever combination of the above changes (and they are only the most well-known) it is going to affect you. That much is clear. What is not so clear is exactly how you will be affected.

Let us assume, however, that all the prophecies and scientific observations are correct in that something is happening to the Earth which is relatively new to us. That means that the energetic aspect, the subtle energies, will also be affected. In such cases, there will be an increase in unexplained phenomena such as ghosts, feelings of being uncomfortable and a host of other, low-level but irritating side effects.

This certainly is borne out by our experiences. There is an increase in strange phenomena, in unpleasant side-effects for people in their environments. We have found many unusual things which we have never encountered before, (and which we talk about in our monthly e-zine).

The one definite thing it really does mean for you is that now, more than at any other time, you need to have your space cleared and the energies harmonized.

House clearing really shouldn't be an option any more. The earth changes really are happening!
