Devas:
The Master Planners
Devas can be defined in different ways. But on this page right now,
I’m going to use it in the way that people who talk about nature use
it.
Now, it is possible to talk about nature spirits and mean much the
same thing as devas, but, if
you read about nature spirits, you’ll find that they are difficult
to visualize and that they are hard to contact in any way. They can
also be thought of as similar to fairies (or faeries, if you prefer
that spelling).
With these beings, there are some similarities, but there are enough
differences to make it worthwhile looking at them in more detail.
I should, perhaps, start off by saying that I was fortunate enough
to see one of these beings myself. I had been doing a lot of reading
about them, I had been concentrating on learning about earth energies
and I was able to do a lot of quiet contemplation in the countryside.
All this geared me up to be able to connect with a deva.
In this case, it was the deva of the town where I lived. It was quite
hilly in places and allowed me a view of the Town Hall from quite a
way off.
I was walking along, thinking my thoughts and looked up and saw this
creature hovering, wavering above the building. It was huge for me to
have seen it at that distance and looked vaguely like it was made out
of pale rainbows. Not a good description, but that best I am able to
describe it.
The really interesting thing was that it was aware that it had been
seen. It turned its head towards me (it had HUGE eyes, by the way) and
nodded once at me, as if in recognition. I got the impression that it
was really busy, but very happy to be noticed. It was a very powerful
moment for me.
So what are they?
 If
we follow the more modern approach to devas, then they certainly seem
to play an important role in the natural world. They are, in effect, the
planners.
Let us say, for example, that you want to grow roses. You know the
rose you want to grow, because you’ve seen it already, either in a catalog
or growing in a garden somewhere. You prepare the soil, buy or otherwise
obtain the necessary plant, tend and nurture it and in the end you have
your rose.
However, there are many pitfalls and the rose might not be perfect
or suffer from disease or illness to some degree.
Now take one step back from this scene. The rose you want, that perfection
you are after, exists somewhere. There is a plan of it, if you like,
from which all plants of that species take their lead. But even further
back from that is the common theme that all roses have; the types of
leaves, flowers, thorns an so on. And beyond that, the varieties of
plants.
Each one of those stages is the responsibility of a deva. The devas
are responsible for holding the ideas so that the workers, like the
fairies, and the other nature spirits, can bring them into creation
through the use of appropriate minerals, moisture, temperature and so
on. In other words, without the plan there would be no rose.
So the deva I saw over the Town hall was responsible for the town.
Not for the people or the buildings or the roads or the shops, but for
everything which together makes up a town. It’s more than the parts,
it is also the feelings and emotions of the inhabitants. Its job was
to make sure that the town was moving along the right lines for it,
as a town, not as some small village or a huge metropolis.
So why do some things not work out?
Devas are only the planners. They hold the idea. It is up to others, including
us humans, to bring ideas into reality. We can mess things us. We can
make the land sterile. We can, through inattention and laziness, drive
the devas from it and make it unhealthy, lacking in vitality, dead.
Sometimes we have to ask devas to come in to a place because it is
energetically dead or dying. We need their skills to help heal the place.
If you want to work with them, take the time to understand the complex
jobs they do. Take the time to ask them to assist you with your plans.
Know that whatever you do, whatever results you achieve, they can only
be achieved with the assistance of those helpers.
If you want to actually see them, then that might take a little more
practice. It really consists of allowing yourself to appreciate the
work which goes on even in an apparently still scene. You have to let
yourself relax into the environment, know that such things exist and
ask them, gently and politely, if they would be willing to show themselves.
You may be lucky. You may see the entire being. You might only see
a flicker out of the corner of your eye. If you do see one whole and
complete, it will appear usually as a shifting mist, maybe flame colored
or swirling light with flickering colors. Without a doubt it will appear
to be beautiful to you.
But, whether or not you are lucky enough to see one, the really important
thing is to know that they exist and that they are the ones who hold
the plans.
How does this tie in to Space Clearing?
Quite simple.
Without them, the land is sterile and empty.
We have come across places where, for one reason or another, there
simply aren't enough devas or nature spirits and the land, as a consequence,
suffers.
Crops and plants don't grow well. There is a feeling of emptiness there.
Animals are not lively, people don't thrive.
In other words, the essence, the vitality is gone when the devas are
gone.
There are ways of encouraging them back again. But first you have to
beleive in them.
This lack of vitality is often the best way of knowing that there are
not enough devas or other workers present. If you think this is happening
where you live, please contact us and we'll
let you know.
