The Curry Grid: Noxious or Not?
If you look up the phrase 'Curry Grid' on the web, you will come a cross a large number of sites who all say the same thing. That's because most of them copy straight from each other and don't bother checking anything. So, let's see what is commonly agreed upon first. - The grid was discovered by Dr Manfred Curry (Founder of the Bioclimatic Institute in Bavaria) and Dr Wittmann in 1951.
- The grid runs at 45 degrees to the North-South alignment of the Hartmann Lines See diagram below
- The lines are electrically charged, either positive or negative
- Where a Curry Grid intersection overlays a Hartmann Line intersection, disease is inevitable, unless something is done
After that, agreement pretty much runs out and the rest is conjecture. Now a quick look at the less definite areas.- The width of the Grid is said to be about 2 or 3 meters apart (but it also varies in places, apparently.)
- The intersecting points of positive energy can cause cancer
- It is an earthing grid for cosmic rays which continually bombard the Earth
- Or...it is terrestrial in origin and caused by the core magma radiations of the Earth, its rotation and magnetic field.
- It is responsible for you waking between midnight and 3 a.m.
So what is it really? That's anyone's guess. Undoubtedly, there is something there. However, it has become something of a mantra with many people clearing spaces that the problem is caused by grids. In fact, it used to be pretty much mandatory to actually find a grid everywhere. You still get those who are new to space clearing maintaining there are grids all over the place, because they have read that that is what is 'meant' to be found. And, in dowsing, if you think something should be there, you'll more than likely find it! The Curry Grid is thought to be most closely associated with cancer. However, there is plenty of confusion as to what exactly anyone is talking about when they speak of grids. It could be the Curry or Hartmann grids or it could be energy lines or even ley lines. Many people will report a line as a bad thing as it goes under a bed, for example. But, if they are really speaking of either grid, then the intersection is what is important, not the line itself. In such case, it is something else, but it is not either of these two grids The Curry Grid and meIn the same way that I react (or don't) to the Hartmann Lines, so I have problems with the Curry grid. For me, it doesn't figure in my approach to harmonizing space. I can find it, if I try hard, but it is of less importance than many other facets of a space. If serious illness is reported, then I will check specifically. However, I have not yet come across an example where it was a factor. Perhaps the reason for this is that the Curry Grid is most effective (or potent) in those areas where it is part of the national sub-consciousness. If I were in Germany or Switzerland, I'm pretty sure I'd find it all over the place. Of course, this then raises interesting ideas about our environment and how we create (and maintain) it. It also raises questions about the things we do find. But that's for another time perhaps. In the end, what counts is the efficacy of the approach. In our work as geomancers, we have found that few people know about different grids and therefore don't ask about this one specifically. Now, I am willing to allow that maybe we just can't actually sense it at all and that other people can. However...if we can clear a space without knowing the grid is there (and we can and do!), then the end result is what matters. I promise to add an article in the newsletter the very first time anyone asks me about the Curry Grid. But don't hold your breath, because I've never been asked in all the years I've been doing this! (And asking just because you've read this, doesn't count. So there!) Back To About Geomancy Back to Home Page from Curry Grid Page
