Can my 3 year old remember being dead?

My daughter just returned from a visit from the nursing home with my mother (her grandmother) to visit her great grandmother.
When talking of my great grandmother....she told me "Grandma Grimes sister is mean. She hit me, but she is little".
When I asked my mother if my great grandmother had a sister, she said she did and that she died when she was a baby.
Later that night while putting her to bed she said to me "Mommy do you remember when I was little and I was dead, but I didn't want to be so I found you."
She has said or done things in the past that made me question whether she was seeing something, but these recent events really caught my attention.
