Dogs know NEW
by: Anonymous

When one of my dogs died, my other dog went into a deep depression for a week. I let him come inside and lie on the couch, he was in a catatonic state so I just loved him and took care of him.

I wont forget the look on his face when he saw the other dog dead. They know.

Dogs and spirits NEW

Such things certainly can affect dogs. It might be for several reasons, but, from what you say, it certainly could be due to the funeral.

Don't rule out the fact that he could be picking up on your feelings of loss (if the burial was of someone close). In which case, reassurance that you are OK is the main thing.

However, if you are OK after the burial, then perhaps it is more due to the fact that he picked up some energetic 'gunk' in the graveyard (which is, after all, a great place for ghosts and the like!). Such things can and do transfer themselves to living beings and alter behavior.

If this is the most likely scenario, then he needs to be cleared. Sometimes, intent is sufficient. Sometimes smudging will do, as will just asking the 'whatever' to leave. In other cases, something a little stronger might be needed.
