Animal Communication: The Skill You Already Have
To many people, animal communication is something you have to be
trained to do (or be one of those 'lucky' people who can do it from
birth).
What if I told you it's just not true?
What if I also told you that just about anyone can do it and that you
are probably doing it well already?
Sound too good to be true?
Actually, it is true and I'll explain how.
But before I do, I just want to tie it in with space clearing. If we
are very sensitive to the environment around us, then our animal
companions are as well. In fact, they are even more sensitive to different
aspects of the environment.
So it is very useful indeed to be able to communicate with them so that
you can understand what it is that they are experiencing.
You are a communicator
Communication is a process. It is not just one way. That would be a
monologue.
Think of the ways in which you and your animals already
communicate:
- When it's feeding time
- When it's time to exercise
- When you want some peace and quiet
- When your animal is afraid
- When your animal is hungry
- When your animal is excited / angry / etc.
You might be able to think of other instances, but certainly these are
the most common types of animal communication which exist.
You don't have to be able to speak dog to talk with your animal.
Likewise, they don't have to speak English for you to understand them.
The basic animal communication is done with gestures, looks, body
attitude, and the use of props such as leash, toy, food etc..
Now think back how you know what your animal is telling you. Is it
because of a certain noise or look or action? Is it something else
instead?
Perhaps you haven't really consciously thought about it before. But you
have been doing animal communication, I guarantee it! Your animal knows
what you are about to do because it does pay close attention to you and
your actions. Some are better at it than others, but sheepdog breeds, for
example, are very quick to react to humans. Goldfish might be a little
more sluggish....
How can it help me?
Let's say that you know your home doesn't feel right.
You can't put your finger on it, but you know something's wrong.
Look to your animal companions.
Are they showing any signs of discomfort or fear or something similar?
Perhaps if they are, it is only in certain places or at certain times.
That alone might be enough to convince you that something is wrong.
Perhaps they avoid an area, perhaps they might seek another area out.
All of these things can help guide you.
To get more detail, you can turn to dowsing. A most flexible tool, you
can use it to ask Yes or No questions of your animal.
So, you can find out what it is that is bothering your animal. You can
carry out detailed animal communication using this method of 'talking',
once you have the basic skill.
Sometimes, of course, it is so obvious what is going on with your
animal companion that you don't need anything else to know that
communication is taking place.
An example
For example, once Maggie and I were doing a lot of energetic work on
ourselves. It had come to a point where we wanted a rest and some
reassurance that we were on the right track.
That afternoon, while sitting in our office, our dog, India, came in
and sat in front of us and began to stare. She stared at a point just past
our shoulders and when we went to meet her gaze, she shifted to keep
staring at the same spot.
She obviously wasn't frightened but certainly fascinated. In a moment,
both Maggie and I felt a tremendously powerful presence with us. We felt
it behind us at the same time. It was a very good feeling indeed. As we
noticed it, so we also noticed that India was still staring at the place
we felt the presence coming from.
It slowly withdrew and left us. At which point India got up and left as
well.
Not a word was said, but there was an awful lot of animal communication
going on then!
All it takes is for you to be aware enough of your animals to know if
they are trying to tell you something.
Then you have to work out what it is!
But, simply knowing that is a degree of animal communication in itself.
It just takes practice.
